The CSGN Forum is a leading greenspace and green infrastructure conference event in Scotland. This forum ‘The Art of Placemaking’ was part of the Festival of Architecture designed to support the themes of the 2016, Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design. As part of the Forum Marion held the ‘Frame’ workshop, a community engagement tool using public art interventions.

‘Frame’ takes participants into our public spaces, investigating their uses, purposes and how they make us feel. They are left in situ for others to find and thoughts to share. Marion has undertaken this workshop at several events and has inspired other organisations to use them as part of their engagement programmes.

As part of the CSGN Forum workshop participants were invited to explore the streets of Glasgow framing ‘What catches your attention?’. They were asked to describe in three words their chosen view, reflecting and questioning why it caught their attention.

All photographs of installed frames are taken by workshop participants.
