Tayport Community Hub
- lanning submission has been submitted for the Community Hub in Tayport. Collective Architecture have developed the new hub offering a range of spaces for sports, arts, business and tourism.
One part of the building, hosting sports, will be clad in metal in reference to the former steel works on this site. The other part of the building, housing community and tourism facilities, will be clad with Scottish larch cladding beneath a silver corrugated roof.
Our future landscaping proposals relate directly to the location of the site, with the town bordering the North-Western edge and great views opening up over the Tay on the South-Eastern corner. It is proposed that the Northern and Western edges of the site, orientated towards the town and infrastructure, will have a more active feel with predominantly hard surfacing. In contrast to the Southern and Eastern edges, adjacent to parkland, coastline and the Tay, will have a much softer feel and treatment.
