Energy Park Fife
- The Energy Park Fife has expanded significantly over the last years. Whilst the name originally referred to a single site, the area of the former Wellesley Colliery, it now also includes Methil Docks and Methil Docks Business Park. Due to this expansion a strategy to guide visitors to the various sites and facilities was required.
The Energy Park Fife has expanded significantly over the last years. Whilst the name originally referred to a single site, the area of the former Wellesley Colliery, it now also includes Methil Docks and Methil Docks Business Park. Due to this expansion a strategy to guide visitors to the various sites and facilities was required.
UrbanPioneers developed a hierarchy of way-markers to create a new and welcoming arrival sequence and visitor experience. In cooperation with Fife Roads and Environmental Services we simplified and improved the directional signage leading the visitor to the Energy Park Fife. Gateway signs welcome the arrival and introduce the three different areas of the park: Energy Park (Engineering), Methil Docks (Docks) and Methil Docks Business Park (Innovation). Each area has been given a logo to ease navigation. These logos reappear on the feature signs, which mark the entrance to the individual sites. These give information about the area the visitor is about enter and also include a site map.
